Psalms 84
1 How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
2 I long, yes, I faint with longing to enter the courts of the Lord. With my whole being, body and soul, I will shout joyfully to the living God.
3 Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow builds her nest and raises her young at a place near your altar, O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, my King and my God!
4 What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises.
5 What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
6 When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings.
7 They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.
8 O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, hear my prayer. Listen, O God of Jacob.
9 O God, look with favor upon the king, our shield! Show favor to the one you have anointed.
10 A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else!I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.
11 For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.
12 O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you.
My Dear SpeakChrist Nakama,
Today, I would like to reflect on this verse in our Responsorial Psalm, Psalm 84 about being an anointed child of God.
Psalm 84:09
O God, behold our shield, and look upon the face of your anointed.
Look upon the face of Your anointed.
I marvel at how Solomon bears in mind his identity: God's anointed.
What does God’s Anointing mean?
Anointing is the burden removing and yoke-breaking power of God. Anointing is what empowers a man or a woman to function supernaturally. Anointing is that which enables you to do supernatural things.
What does it mean to be anointed?
To be anointed means to be “consecrated or made sacred; dedicated to God.”
Here's an excerpt from an article I read that talks about the Anointing:
The Anointing is the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. It enables the believer to understand, apply, and administer spiritual truth. Simply put, the presence of The Anointing enables believers to have a spiritual connection. The Holy Spirit indwells us and allows us to connect to the spiritual realm so that we can receive and understand spiritual data as it is transferred from heaven to earth. The spiritual receptivity that comes as a result of The Anointing allows us to maintain fellowship with God because of the presence of the Holy Spirit.
You have anointed me to do the work You have called me to do.
When You led me to start my online business, I came upon
Luke 4:17-21 CEB
[17] The synagogue assistant gave him the scroll from the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the place where it was written: [18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me. He has sent me to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to liberate the oppressed, [19] and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. [20] He rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the synagogue assistant, and sat down. Every eye in the synagogue was fixed on him. [21] He began to explain to them, “Today, this scripture has been fulfilled just as you heard it.”
These verses stuck with me:
Luke 4:
[18] The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me. He has sent me to preach good news to the poor, to proclaim release to the prisoners and recovery of sight to the blind, to liberate the oppressed, [19] and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
Proclaim the good news, the year of the Lord's favor.
This will be what my business is all about.

Just recently, like for example, I have been mulling over what to do with my newsletter, SpeakChrist Lovenote
I have been focused lately on doing videos for YouTube. I started out making 1 video a day for our SpeakChrist ASMR Guided Meditation by the Ocean last year October 2022, which I have also made available in my newsletter as a podcast in MP3 format.
But my online jobs suffered because of that, meaning I've been missing deadlines which I knew was not a good witness for God to the companies I worked for.
Plus I'm not able to take care of writing, editing, and publishing my books which I also discerned is what You want me to do.
I knew things had to change.
So I decided to reduce my posting to 2 long-form videos and 2 shorts a week (My SpeakChristisms), taken from the long-form video on my SpeakChrist ASMR channel.
And then convert it to content as ASMR Guided Meditation by the Fire for my other channel, Tata Velasquez.
But circumstances get in the way and since last week, I noticed I'm only able to publish 1 long form and 1 short video for each channel.
On Being Consistent
I asked You, Lord, about it, worried that I'm not being consistent. Here’s what I felt You say to me in my spirit:
Just be led by My Spirit. Yes, set a schedule - actually, make it a guideline, cause that is just that. It's your weekly guide. I don't want you making your schedule your Lord. I am your Lord. I'll show you what you need to do each week, each day. Just continue to listen for instructions and be quick to obey.
You said that for this year, the only consistency You're asking from me is the consistency to seek You, and be with You daily and early in the day.
If I've done that then I've been consistent.
There's only one thing I want you to be consistent this year: seek Me and My Kingdom. If you've been doing that, you've been consistent. The rest you can leave up to Me.
I remember this verse from Proverbs:
[9] You may make your plans, but God directs your actions. Proverbs 16:9 GNBDK
My New Direction for SpeakChrist Lovenote Newsletter
Since last week, I have been waking up at 4 am from my usual 5 am to seek You and journal my thoughts in my time with you.
I felt that since I cannot record it for my ASMR channel cause I simply don't have the time, it would be just a waste of Your wisdom if I'm not able to document it and share it with others which was the intended purpose for my ASMR channels.
Last night, You gave me the idea to document it in my newsletter. To publish it daily as an article on my Substack.
And so here it is.
Thank You, Father, for the Holy Spirit and for the Anointing You have given me to be with You and to go out into the world for You, fulfilling my purpose here on earth.
Now Your Turn
Do you know that you are also called by God to go into the world and represent Him?
For this, you need God's anointing.
Start by becoming a citizen of His kingdom and a child of his household.
How do you do that?
Receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.
Then You will be filled with His Spirit that cries out to God as Father.
[14] All who are led by God’s Spirit are God’s sons and daughters. [15] You didn’t receive a spirit of slavery to lead you back again into fear, but you received a Spirit that shows you are adopted as his children. With this Spirit, we cry, “Abba, Father.” [16] The same Spirit agrees with our spirit, that we are God’s children. [17] But if we are children, we are also heirs. We are God’s heirs and fellow heirs with Christ, if we really suffer with him so that we can also be glorified with him. Romans 8:14-17 CEB
Then the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth, especially in matters concerning you.
He will partner with you in everything that you do, guiding you, organizing your life to fulfill God's purpose, pretty much like a Personal Assistant, Coach, a right-hand Advisor, or Chief of staff for the rich heirs.
Jesus gave Him to us for this purpose.
John 16:13-15 CEB
[13] However, when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you in all truth. He won’t speak on his own, but will say whatever he hears and will proclaim to you what is to come. [14] He will glorify me, because he will take what is mine and proclaim it to you. [15] Everything that the Father has is mine. That’s why I said that the Spirit takes what is mine and will proclaim it to you.
So do you want to fulfill your purpose in life and leave a legacy of blessing for when your time on earth is up?
Then walk in your Anointing today.
You are the anointed one of God.
Live it today. And every day of your life.

If you want to have the Anointing of God
Make Jesus the Lord and Saviour of your life.
Seek the Holy Spirit’s fresh Anointing daily
Live in the Anointing every moment of everyday.

Dearest Father,
Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit Who is our Anointing: the Power to connect to You and help us live in the spiritual realm while living in this earthly realm, every moment of our day. Like Solomon, I pray that you look upon me and show me favor whom You have anointed. I ask this by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the intercession of Mama Mary, in Jesus Name.
If you've not yet received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, and you want to, so you can be a child and heir of God and citizen of His Kingdom too, pray with me:
Dearest Father, forgive me of my sins. Today, I receive Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I give You my life, my everything. Thank You, Father. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
Now you’re all set. Let Jesus inspire and motivate you daily as you grow in your faith.
